Michael Bolotin | Where Do We Go From Here - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 05, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Michael Z. Gordon discovered Michael Bolton (whose actual name was Michael Bolotin) in 1970. They recorded over 20 songs together at Sunset Sound Recording in the San Fernando Valley. Produced by Gordon, Bolton recorded with his band "Joy" and all of the songs were Hard Rock songs. When they would arrange a meeting between Bolton and his band, Gordon would meet them in the lobby of his office building rather than in his office because the band did not believe in taking baths and the odor of the group was overwhelming. It never dawned on Gordon that he should record pop love songs instead of the Hard Rock songs that they recorded. Bolton went on to sign with RCA, who made millions of dollars off of Bolton's love songs.

Music from the 1972 movie "Nightmare County", which was alternately released under the titles "Nightmare of Death" and "November Children".

The song "Where Do We Go From Here" was sung by Michael Bolton and written and produced by Gordon. Gordon and Bolton recorded over thirty hard rock songs with Bolton and his group but failed to get a hit record.
