DESCRIPTION: I had forgotten about this jam by Maze till I heard it in a T.I. movie. Incredibly funky line! I'm including the groove from the long version which isn't in the short version at all. Listen to the original (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mBolaUzH9M) for all the cool variations. After uploading this, I came across a live version by Maze and saw that the bass line is actually plucked not slapped... which explains why I couldn't get the more muted sound heard on most of the line. Maze's bassist just aggressively plucks the high D and C notes to get a slap-like sound on them.
