What am I ? Briefly :



- I'm a lot into sequential art (you can call it "comic book" if you prefer). When it comes to illustration and narration, everywhere in the world, people are pushing things a little bit forward. The indy/alternative self-published comics-illustration worldwide scene. Brilliants ideas, brilliant ways, brilliants explorations.



- Afro-ill-boogie-jazz-broken-beat-hip-hop-whatever. Mu-sic. Ahhhh. I beliiieeeeeeve in muuusic. Dope beats, dope vibes, full spectrum. Alone, at home, is the thing. Now, playing some shit for curious and open-minded people while "Le Retour du Boogie", the parties we do with friends, is cool too.



- A reader. No, a book addict. I don't know. Thinking that I still got plenty of books to read in my life. Instant coolest state of mind. Read and read and read and read and read good books. Neat-o.



- A spray-can art head, emptying Krylon or Sparvar "in the good'ol'times", awkwardly spitting Alien everywhere on the walls nowadays. Stickering all around ain't bad, too. And full spectrum graphotism is dope too. Adobe Illustrator > you.



- Staring at the sun. Doing nothing. Just staring at the sun.



- Spending times in foreign countries, exchanging miscelanous shit with people from elsewhere. Doing it alone is just perfect for my tiny brain. Being with friends is just too bad for my liver.



- Eating some donuts with with John Porcellino, John Coltrane (yeah, I know), Julie Doucet, Haruki Murakami, Alan Moore, Minnie Riperton (yeah, I also know), Jim Woodring, Famke Jansen, Chris Ware, Charles Mingus (yeaaaah, I still know), Grant Morrison, Leroy Hutson (now won't you just shut up ?), maybe a few others. Sure it will be dope.



- Eating ice-cream. Washing t-shirts. Prepare tea.



- Cursing the rain, the cold, and my whole life. Blame the rest of the world.



- Drawing shit. Doing vectoriel untasty shit. Working for the local fanzine we run with friends. Spending nights inking shit. Coloring shit. Doing xeroxed copies of bad illustrations. Buying new eraiser.



- Skating under the sun. Heck, ask Rodney*, all he knows comes from me. I remember all the tricks I showed him, in 1987, was it at The Embarcadero ? I don't remember. Anyway.

- Frisbeeeeeeeee time ! Just an excuse to spend some time under the sun (yep, "once again" !) with friends, nothing else.



- Being in love (and all the usual shit that it means : to learn, to argue, to give, to test, to discover, to receive, to cherish, to trust, to destroy, to take, to wish, and many more).



totaly futile additional note 1 ! Some things I dislike : cars, big cars, people speaking of god, wine, cheese, cd's, horror and gore movies, bird in cage, fish in aquarium, horsemanship, high heels, whodunnit genre, acrylic paint, drilling machine.



totaly futile additional note 2 ! Some things I like : laughing, storm in the summer, canelle, to sleep, watching movies, beauty spots, girls in skirt, MPC 2000, glu, milk, Ben&Jerry chocolate chip cookie dough, animals, vinyl records, citrus fruits.



And probably thousands of others things that you really don't care.



Life is better with clean toilets, odd books, and switched off phones.
