Mickaël Mottet aka Angil is a French songwriter.
The Hiddentracks have been Angil's collective band since 2004.
There are 8 musicians (drums, double bass, guitar, strings, brass and woodwinds, percussion) and two illustrators in the band.
Their first album Teaser for: Matter, was released in the UK by Megaphone (Karen Dalton, etc.) in 2004.
Their second one Oulipo Saliva, was released by Chemikal Underground (Mogwai, Arab Strap, etc.) in 2009.
Their latest album The And was released in France in 2010.
It features vocal participations by Lætitia Sadier (Stereolab), Jim Putnam (the Radar Brothers), and Emma Pollock (Delgados), between others.
Angil and the Hiddentracks are currently touring to play and show their new songs.
They will be recording their next album, Now, in summer 2011.
