DESCRIPTION:
The Temptations are to rhythm and blues, soul and the motown vocal group "hit" as The Inkspots were to early jive, pop and the vocal group "ballad." In reverence to The Temptations, the very first song Curious Mellow attempted was their classic, "The Way You Do The Things You Do." As was pretty much the direction Curious Mellow would take, the acappella arrangement of this song was quite novel. It demanded intense rehearsal to solidify the timing and occasional "staccato" harmony, so that it "hit the mark". Otherwise, a disaster would have ensued, and the effort would have been trashed.
