Sang Moon

Sang Moon was born in Seoul, South Korea and currently resides in Harlem, New York. At 22, he's already an established Producer, Composer and Rap artist under his self-made record label: Smirk Entertainment. Sang Moon has gone through many difficult times in is life and Hip Hop has played an important role in his growth at an early age. As a Korean adoptee most people would assume he would have lived in a happy home with no financial problems like most adopted families. That was not the case however as his family struggled constantly financially and at 12 yrs of age his parents divorced leaving him to say goodbye to his father and stay with his mom and older sister. Later on Sang Moon was then old enough to chose where he wanted to live and then moved in with his father and shortly thereafter his sister did the same. SangMoon then met a local producer who taught him the ropes of hip hop and the art of being a rapper and from then on his passion for rapping never ended. Sang Moon was first inspired by the group "Bone Thugs 'N Harmony" as they also repped the Midwest and had a style like no other. In August of 2006 Sang Moon was able to meet Krayzie Bone and tell him how much of an inspiration he was to him and his rapping career. After talking with many producers promising him to help create his album which never happened, Sang Moon decided to no longer wait for anyone to handle his music projects and to instead put his dream into his own hands. At 19 Sang created his first studio with all the equipment he needed to produce his own beats and record his own tracks. After just 3 months his full lengthed Album "From the Seoul" was completed and released on his Golden Birthday Aug. 21st, 2007! From there on Sang Moon created his own record label SMIRK Entertainment and have done shows around the local Minnesota area. Sang Moon now has plans do shows across the nation as so many people outside of Minnesota show so much support for him! He hopes to one day be able to perform his music in his homeland of Seoul, Korea amnd to make his people proud. also he hopes to one day be reunited with his birth family of which he has never seen before.
