Marianne Oswald : Mon Oncle a tout repeint ! - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 19, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Marianne Oswald, which real name was Alice Bloch-Colin, was a singer and actress born on 9 January 1901 in (Germany) to Jewish parents who had emigrated from Poland. She died on 25 February 1985 in France.
Marianne Oswald started her singing career in 1920 in the cabarets of Berlin. In 1930 or 1931, because of the rising Nazi party, she went in exile to Paris, where she introduced a German cabaret style of songs and presentation into the French culture.
Its a pity that she made so few recordings and that's probably one of the reasons that they are very hard to find today.
