DESCRIPTION:
Violinist Machiko Ozawa and cellist Li-Ling Wang started their collaboration in chamber music after they graduated from Juillard School in 2001. The duo has performed in "Strad for Lunch" series at WMP Concert Hall, Juilliard Artists at 180 Maiden Lane series, and Steinway Hall, among other venues in New York City. In 2008 they gave two concerts in Tokyo, Japan; one of which took place at the Tokyo American Club. This video was shot at the Rubin Museum of Art on June 1 2011 for the Spiral Music series. The concert included music of Handel-Halvorsen, Kodaly, Piazolla, Ravel, as well as Ms. Ozawa's own compositions like here.
