The 6th offering in the modern roots production team’s “Zion I Kings Riddim Series”. This soulful reggae release hosts 8 tracks featuring veteran artists, Akae Beka (Vaughn Benjamin of Midnite), Pressure, Lutan Fyah, Jahdan Blakkamoore and Danny I, amongst up and coming greats Randy Valentine and Vanessa Bongo. A diverse cast of pan Caribbean artists hailing from the US Virgin Islands, United Kingdom, Barbados, Jamaica and the USA. The composition has a feeling about it, instantly setting a mood of introspection, love, warmth and ease. It brilliantly employs a classic fender Rhodes piano amongst organic guitars and organs on top of a solid live drum and bass backbeat. All this moving and grooving with modern production elements of synthesizers, drum loop glitches and dub effects. Performed live in Virtue & Vice Recording Studio in Brooklyn, NY while on tour, the Zion I Kings capture a feeling here that harnesses a nostalgia that allows each artist to perform their own unique style over.
