The final video of the Old Madras Sessions goes rock n roll with a medley that's sure to get you up on your feet. What better way to conclude this series than by playing these two amazing songs from Visawanthan & Ramamoorthy and Ilayaraja. This number features a couple of traditional 12 bar and groovy blues solos as well. It's been a great ride with Old Madras Sessions and I'd like to thank the whole team behind this for their contribution. The response from you guys has been really great and we will be coming back with many more sessions like this. For now we will be starting work on our next album featuring Dondieu Divin which will have Carnatic krithis arranged IndoSoul style by Dondieu. More info on this soon. Old Madras Sessions is our tribute to Tamil cinema. This is a six-part video series where Karthick Iyer Live has performed some of the most beautiful compositions from yesteryear cinema. We've worked with Pondicherry based keyboardist Dondieu Divin, who has arranged these immortal melodies. To celebrate Tamil cinema and really get into the spirit, we soaked up some history at the iconic VGP Studios in Chennai, and recorded these sessions in the hallowed space.

Karthick Iyer Live is a collaboration of musicians from diverse musical backgrounds. An electric violin, mridangam, guitar, bass and drums along with vocals form the core.
