DESCRIPTION:
The quicksand brush-work rhythm bed was created by sampling fragments from brushes played on the drum kit, dropping them into an SPD-S sampling pad, and then playing the pads in real time. From 2010's "Terminal Muse: Red," Lid Emba's 3rd release on Stickfigure Recordings and the first installment in LE's color-coded Terminal Muse trilogy, a three album dedication to the theory that persistent artistic endeavor in the face of disappointment and demoralization can be diagnosed as an incurable disease.
