DESCRIPTION:
Richard Houghten aka Bloomypetal aka 1/3rd of A Cosmic Gift is a brilliant songwriter and musician who happens to be one of the few people to own and operate a vinyl lathe. He uses said lathe to cut records for himself and occasionally for others. In this Mini Documentary, Richard lets us step into his world for a day where he shows off his record collection, the origin of his projects, some of his releases, a few nifty experiments, and talks about the science (and magic) behind records, how they work, and how he uses his lathe to cut them.

This week's Wednesday video is VERY different, but it's absolutely awesome and I hope you all give it a watch. This footage was taken over a year ago by Sandy and myself, and it has been slowly edited until completion. Richard is such a humble, generous, and talented human being and watching him talk with such knowledge and passion, while being so disarmingly relaxed and welcoming, is an absolute treat.
