Klaus Roß was born and grow up in East-Germany. He was a member of the "Stadtsingechor Halle". Autodidactic he learned to play the guitar and was total fascinated of it. At first he was mainly influenced by the blues. The logical next step was - after having played some first small gigs with fellow students - to found the first "real" band, the "MARABU Folk & Blues Band", in which Klaus played guitar and blues harp. After some very successful years "MARABU" broke up. Afterwards he collaborated with the guitar player Matthias Gneist. Several different projects followed, among others "Alis Saftladen" (songs and puppet plays with Alexander Treichel and Vera Pachale), collaboration with Peter Winzer (poet) and Siegfried Neher (keyboard) and a project with Gitti Kind (voc) and Ecki Kind (voc, guit). From 1988 to 1989 he was a member of the band "Freilauf". In 1989 Klaus Roß moved to West-Berlin. At first he was playing bass with the Berlin funk band "Pepperonis". Further on he was composing for and playing guitar with the Berlin band "Little Wing" (acoustic pop) with Franziska Valenti (voc). Since 2005 Klaus Roß playing bass with the "Party Animals" (disco funk).
