This is a song about separation and missing one's lover. It talks about the pain of staying apart and the anxiety it brings. Peekaboo stands for the lovers finding each other by chance & their attempt then to try and ascertain the depth of love felt by the other.

Worked up from a guitar groove by Warren Mendonsa, 'Peekaboo' features Apeksha Dandekar with guest vocals of Mandeep Sethi and Benny Dayal.

Context: The poet is giving the perspective of two countries who were originally one,
comparing that to a relationship of that of lovers who parted ways.

Longing for the return of a lover in a distant land, the poet is not able to enjoy the melodious
and mesmerizing songs of the peacock and the cuckoo, as they remind him of the lover
and the joy of togetherness there was. Poet says that even the rain sings the songs of their
separation and begs for the lover to return, for they were meant to be together.

The memories of the first relationship are so hard to forget, just as true lovers would, poet
is curious if the lover misses him and tries to reach out. Does the lover feel the urge to be
together again...? Playfully assures that the lover will never be alone ever again, as now the
poet is going to stand by the lover forever.

Meaning of Para "India": Both lands (after partition) are still connected to each other just
as two sisters are. Hence one feels incomplete as a family without the other. What ever
happened, was unfortunate, but was in the past, it's time for a new beginning. It's time now
to grow beyond borders and join hands as one team. Come together and unite as one to
ensure that we become a formidable force. This would be a dream come true.

The past events may have created a lot of layers over the basic reality... that we are
inseparable. But no matter what, we will always be inseparable, regardless of political
boundaries.
