Spanish Flea (Wechter) - Fiedler, Boston Pops - Video
PUBLISHED:  Apr 01, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
This hugely popular hit of the 1960's was written by Julius Wechter (1935--1999) for Herb Alpert (of the Tijuana Brass), published in 1965. Wechter himself was a musician, and played the marimba, vibraphone, and various percussion instruments.
As a lyricist, Wechter's wife Cissy wrote the words to "Spanish Flea", her husband's biggest hit. It achieved standard status, recorded by over sixty artists.

Wechter also was the leader of the Baja Marimba Band, which began in 1964, lasting into the early 1970's.

Straight from the 1972 vinyl. I own nothing here.
