Formed in 2014, 'Mike Parker's Trio Theory' is the stripped-down follow-up to the New York bassist and composer's 'Unified Theory' quintet project. Mike is joined by two-time Grammy nominee Frank Parker (Kurt Elling Quartet) on drums and Krakow, Poland's fiery tenor saxophonist Slawek Pezda.

Together, they inject the jazz trio format with the raw energy of Rock, the sensitivity of Classical, the textural palette of the Avant-Garde, and all the rhythmic and harmonic diversity of Modern Jazz.

In November '14 the trio completed a marathon tour, playing 27 concerts in 27 nights across 4 countries in Fall '15 they played 30 concerts across 6 countries. In April '16 they released 'Alive Out There', a live album recorded on their Fall '15 tour. The trio's repertoire consists of Parker's new compositions, special arrangements of 'Unified Theory' material, and a few choice covers.
