Line 6 James Tyler Variax Does Its Best Acoustic Guitar, Dobro, Banjo, Sitar Impressions (Video) - Video

DESCRIPTION:
After a good listen to the many, many electric guitar sounds -- both real and modeled -- available on the new Line 6 James Tyler Variax, you may wonder what more this guitar could possibly have in store. The answer is: a whole lot more. Specifically, this 2nd generation Variax offers a wide selection of acoustic string instruments, including six- and twelve-string guitars, banjos, dobros, resonators and more.

As with the electric models, the acoustic models can be instantly detuned or re-tuned to any alternate tuning, And there's a pretty neat function on board the James Tyler Variax called the "capo" function which makes creating your own alternate open tunings a powerfully simple process.

Everything you're hearing for this part of the demo, by the way, was recorded direct into Logic through and RME Fireface 800. As you can hear, there's nary a piezo quack to be found; every patch just sounds like a mic'd acoustic instrument.
