DESCRIPTION:
It was such a delight to accompany 5 of Jeanice Woodbrey's wonderful voice students on 21 different songs @ the NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) competition at BYU this weekend! ^_^ My very favorite song that I accompanied was "Heather," a GORGEOUS piece that Rebecca Young sang SO beautifully for her adult female classical division! ♥♥

Here's a video of Rebecca & me performing "Heather" during a rehearsal at my apartment on Thursday afternoon...enjoy! And congratulations, Rebecca, on winning 2nd place in the final round this afternoon...yaaaaaaaay!!! :D You are so talented, expressive, & loving! And thanks Lon [Rebecca's husband] for your kind support & warm presence at all 3 rounds this weekend! Love you guyz!!!! ♥♥

Lyrics:

"All my life long, I had longed to see heather
In the land of my kinsmen far over the sea;
Now here is heather like a wide purple ocean
Rolling its tides toward me...

Dark, dipping waves of it, deeper than amethyst
When the gold day was begun;
Long, curving swells of it, dusky & lovely,
Here on the downs in the sun!

Now I am shaken by great storms of beauty
Wetting my eyelids w/ joy of my eyes;
Now is my soul like a wind-stricken seabird
Troubling the deep w/ her cries!"

(repeat the beginning)
