13 piece GRAND WAZOO Kings of Soul, under the leadership of John Montesante, has nurtured new and upcoming talent - many of whom have progressed to stellar careers. One such is GARTH PLOOG, who first worked with John's Jazz Ensemble , and then in early 2008 performed a guest spot in GRAND WAZOO-Kings of Soul. He quickly progressed to joining the Vocal line up, where he excelled, with the Afro-American members giving him a nickname "MoneyG" . Garth has also performed with John Montesante's big band, the Cafe Society Orchestra. In this 2009 clip, Garth is singing Otis Redding's beautiful Soul ballad, 'These Arms of Mine' backed by Grand WaZoo at the band's then residency at Blue Diamond, Melbourne. (Australia)
