As most of you already know it's my duty to keep da funk alive so here's a classic Bootsy Collins bass groove from 1976. Today's easy bass lesson is Dr. Funkenstein by Parliament. I first heard this song in 8th grade before I even picked up a bass and thought this bass line is so funky. The song only has two parts so it shouldn't take you long to get it down. Take your time to lock in the groove and then do yo thang. It's simple bass line but the feel, the muted notes, and ad libbed parts is what makes this song funkay!
