Son of a Pioneer - The Grandsons at Lubber Run Park in Arlington, VA - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jul 20, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
This fun song by the Grandsons is a response to a legal letter the group received about the group's name. Originally, the group was called the Grandsons of the Pioneers, and that was disputed by the legal team working for the classic cowboy band, the Sons of the Pioneers. Although the members of the Sons of the Pioneers were all dead and the group long gone, lawyers insisted that the Grandsons change their name. So the guys shortened it to simply The Grandsons, and and wrote this song about it. For you yodeling fans, there's a good yodel break in the middle of this song. Fun!

This was performed at the Lubber Run Park amphitheater in Arlington, Virginia, on June 24, 2012. A Canon Vixia HF-S30 was used for the main shot in this video, and a Nikon D7000 was used for the close-ups.
