Frederick Leist conducts the Oshkosh High School Choir, WI, an archival recording from his personal collection.

Frederick Leist worked as a choral conductor, band director, teacher, and orchestra musician in Wisconsin during the 1940's-70's. He was especially skilled working with young voices creating a beautiful rich tone unexpected of a high school choir. A current resident of Oshkosh, WI, his recently published a book "Singing is for the Birds" (2011), a collection of his notes which became his personal handbook running a high school choral program.
