Peluso Microphone Lab Presents: Yellow Couch Sessions

I can think of very few bands that seem to derive as much joy from playing music as the guys from Gypsy & His Band of Ghosts (http://gypsyandhisbandofghosts.bandcamp.com/) and after listening to their music, it's easy to understand why. This band is pure fun - fantastic songs, everyone is great at what they do and the harmonies are flat out spectacular. They're in the process of recording a new album and if these songs are any indication, it's sure to be amazing.

We used Puluso Microphone Lab's (www.pelusomicrophonelab.com) P-12 on its omni setting to capture the vocals and a P-84, which, quite frankly, is the best damn small condenser I've ever had the privilege of using, on Giuseppe's acoustic guitar. I also used Peluso's TR-14 tube-ribbon mic on Diego's amp. Eventually Peluso is going to make me give all these microphones back and that makes me very sad, as I've grown to love them each in ways that I'm not certain I would describe as healthy.
