DESCRIPTION:
The branding of the farm animals in the central Andes of Peru is an annual ritual offered to the mountain deities in order to seek protection of livestock and lands. The music played for this occasion is called "santiago" since this celebration coincides with the Catholic festivity of Santiago Apóstol (St. James).

Este "santiago" pertenece a Panchito Leyth Navarro, violinista de numerosas orquestas típicas de Huancayo y uno de los grandes músicos del Valle del Mantaro.
