Born in 1969 at Gaibandha, Tayeba Begum Lipi is an artist, curator, and organizer from Bangladesh. She is one of the Founder- Trustees of Britto Arts Trust, where she played a major role as coordinator from 2002 to 2008. Her curations include several large-scale projects in Bangladesh and abroad, as well as being the commissioner of the first ever Bangladesh Pavilion at the 54th Venice Biennale in 2011. As an artist, her participation includes a huge number of International exhibitions, residencies and workshops over the past years.

CHONG Kee Yong, the winner of multiple composition awards and one of Malaysia's leading contemporary music composers, possesses one of the most exciting voices in new music today. The uniqueness of his music stems not only from a rich palette of sounds, but his experimentation into traditions, infusing his own Chinese and multi-cultural Malaysian heritage into his work. Indeed, his work has been hailed as "imaginative and poetic" by leading conductor-composer Peter Eötvös, and as "very inventive and artistically pure" by composer Jonathan Harvey.

Chong studied in the Malaysian Institute of Arts and then Xian Conservatory. He furthered his studies in the Royal Conservatory of Music (Brussels) with Jan Van Landeghem and Daniel Capelletti, which culminated in the "Meester in Muziek" with Highest Honours award.

His list of prizes at various competitions is remarkable, including the BMW Award (Korea 2007), the Prix Marcel Hastir (Belgium 1999 & 2003), the Andrzej Panufnik Grand prize (Poland, 2002), the Grand Prix at 2nd Seoul International Competition (2003), the 1st prize of Max-Reger-Tage (Germany 2004), the grand prize of Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra International Composers' Award (2004), Lutoslawski award (Poland 2006), the Giga Herzt Awards (Germany 2009), the commission grant award by the Serge Koussevitzky Music Foundation (USA) and "The Outstanding Young Malaysian Award" for his cultural achievements.

He has been awarded the composer-in-residency with Akademie der Künste (Germany), Herrenhaus Edenkoben (Germany), Asian Cultural Council (USA), the Center Henri Pousseur (Belgium), SWR EXPERIMENTALSTUDIO (Germany) and Civitella Ranieri Foundation Fellowship 2014 (USA/Italy).

Chong is the creative director of Studio C, vice president of Society of Malaysian Contemporary Composers (2011-2014) and was the artistic director of the 2009 Kuala Lumpur Contemporary Music Festival and SMCC Contemporary Music Festival "SoundBridge" 2013. His website is www.chongkeeyong.com
