Chisel framed, fuzzy crowned mop, with powerful covert wings and handy grips - to go hang off the map!
Remarkably long sticky tongue and short stiff tail, which acts as a prop -when mounting Musical instruments --
Usually Dawn Chorused with a cough.
Flight frequent, but undulating. Flees noisily when disturbed.
Most males exhibit patchy red flanks with pinko hippy trimmings, worn openly on sleeves - during rutting and plucking!
Can bare Black breasted soul after heavy wintering.
Nests with Nuts and Fruits in free-standing (syl)vans and skips near old trees and embankments - occasionally in ruins.
With a Yaffled cackle for a call. More often heard than seen.
Needs wine supper to Sing!
An All-Round open-ended breeding season.
Large clutch. No brakes. Will adopt flakes!
Drums for long periods in spring.
