DESCRIPTION:
This song was written and performed by Bruce Wallace.

Bruce Wallace: vocals, acoustic & electric guitars
Mike Dole: piano, harpsichord, strings

Required backstory: One 1987 afternoon while working in the 4-track "recording studio" in my living room, the landlord came by to address a minor issue I can't remember. Even though he was my landlord I didn't know him very well, only meeting him once before when signing the rental agreement. He was maybe a few years older than I was, late 20's. As he stepped on the porch he could hear me playing guitar while finishing up a track. He seemed pleasantly surprised by the setup and asked if I could "produce" him playing an original song. I said sure, sat him in front of the mic and double tracked him singing/playing acoustic, then overdubbed his lead solo. I told him I'd add some other stuff and have a finished copy ready the next day. I ended up adding piano, harpsichord and strings. Result: the 1980's landlord power ballad, "My Love Stays The Same".
