It's a long drive from Newmarket, Ontario to Nashville, Tennessee - especially in a 1997 Chrysler. But for Steven Lee Olsen it would take more than that to deter him from the dream to become an internationally known hit-songwriter and artist.
Not long after having made the trek to Music City, Steven Lee signed a publishing deal with Roots Three Music/ole. It took less than a year for his writing schedule to include hit makers such as Angelo, Luke Laird, Richie Supa, Gordie Sampson, Troy Verges, Chris Lindsey, Matthew Girrard, Carl Falk and Brian White. His impression on Music Row as a world class writer was solidified when Craig Morgan recorded Olsen's song "Ordinary Angels." Internationally, Steven Lee has made a name for himself as well, by writing extensively in Sweden, United Kingdom, Germany and Los Angeles garnering cuts by British sensation Westlife and Swedish Idol Kevin Borg and many more.
As an artist, Steven Lee has stirred up the Canadian Country Music scene with two top twenty hits on Canadian radio, along with a nomination for a Canadian Radio Music Award for his first single, "Now" and being the #22 (Billboard 2010) most played song on Canadian Country radio with his second single, "Make Hay While The Sun Shines".
