Brian Auger´s Oblivion Express: Bumpin´ on Sunset - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 12, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
This is the album-version off the album "Straight Ahead" I have been looking after for so long. There are many very good live versions, but I prefer this studio version because of the use of the Freeman String Machine which I miss in all the other versions I have heard until now. Categorized as "Jazz,Jazz-Rock,Soul,Funk", it is one thing above all others - psychedelic.Written by Wes Montgomery (check out his original version, it is great!), it was transcribed and lifted to this level of
coolness and intensity by Brian Auger. Relax and let you get taken to oblivion away by this incredible subtly floating and powerful tune with its hypnotic beat!
Released in 1974,it features:
Brian Auger - organ,electric piano,,synthesizers (moog,freeman string machine)
Steve Ferrone - drums
Barry Dean - bass
Lennox Laingdon - congas
Mirza Al Sharif - timbales,percussion
Jack Mills - guitar
