Billy Bluebeat signed for Cherry Red Records in 1994. Over the years, there have been several line-ups.

Of the four tracks listed on the player, two - "Pride Of London" and "Blue Flag" - are re-recordings of tracks released in 1997 and were recorded at Chestnut Studios, West London in 2006 by the current squad.

The third track - "One Man Went To Mow" – is a Billy Bluebeat adaptation of some of the popular Stamford Bridge terrace chants.

Originally a demo, this version found its way onto the 1994 CD album “Blue Is The Colour” (MONDE 19CD), and was one of four Billy Bluebeat songs on the track list.

"Blue Flag", "Pride Of London" and "Blue Is The Colour" - Chelsea FC 1972 are available via download from www.CherryRed.co.uk whilst "Blue Flag", "Pride Of London" and "One Man Went To Mow" are available on limited edition CD (email BillyBluebeat@gmail.com for more details).

The fourth track – “Chelsea Gonna Win” – is a song written by Geno Blue and performed by The Chelsea Punk Rock All Stars and was released in 1997 to coincide with Chelsea’s appearance in the FA Cup Final. Although not immediately clear, Billy Bluebeat’s links with The Chelsea Punk Rock Allstars was subsequently confirmed by the CD single release in 1998 of a cover of the Clash classic “White Riot” which was, in this instance, renamed “Blue Riot” with suitably adapted lyrics that berated Ken Bates for the then 40% increase in the price of season tickets. “Blue Riot” was put out as performed by The Chelsea Blueblaggers, the main contingent of whom included several members of Billy Bluebeat and The Chelsea Punk Rock All Stars.
