Undertow (Original Song) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 24, 2017
DESCRIPTION:
A while back, I signed my first publishing deal with Big Yellow Dog Music out of Nashville & I've written some pretty awesome songs with some pretty awesome people. This is a ballad I wrote with Dan Agee (Big Yellow Dog) about someone in your life that pulls you out of the trenches. We metaphorically used the ocean & waves to describe a relationship. Here I am singing my song Undertow at Big Yellow Dog's offices in Nashville, TN. Enjoy!

Lyrics:
I’m so tired of traveling alone
Feel like I’m lost without a homeI’m like an island in that way
But I know

I don’t feel like singing tonight
I got a headache & I don’t feel right
It goes in and out like waves
But I know
She’ll pull me out of my undertow

Tides turn & the waters change
Days go by & it’s all the same
Feels like all I do is coast
But I know

I know i’ve felt like this before
My heart sinks to the ocean floor
Too dark to find my way
But I know
She’ll pull me out of my undertow

So drown me
Drown me in your love
Drown me,
Drown me in your love
When the tide is high & i’m feeling low
She pulls me out of my undertow

When she’s gone I go for a swim
Blue like the water comes back again
It all comes crashing down
But I know
She’ll pull me out

So drown me
Drown me in your love
Drown me,
Drown me in your love
When the tide is high & i’m feeling low

So drown me
Drown me in your love
Drown me,
Drown me in your love
When the tide is high & I’m feeling low
No need to fight, so I’ll let it go
She’ll pull me out of my undertow
