Track info;From its genesis in the summer of 2013, Erdi Irmak's debut solo EP for Particles was a triumph of pounding beats and immaculate melodies. The "unique blend of deep and progressive styles" that comprised the twin-track EP provided deserved success for the Istanbul resident. Now, Particles revisits "Start Believing" with two new remixes from Argentina and Poland. From finalist in the remix competition that marked Proton Music's debut release in 2005, Paul Carr's rise to prominence under his Baunder production moniker has been remarkable. As half of the Soundexile outfit with fellow Argentinean, Oliverio, the duo has taken the house world by storm. Formed in 2006 as backlash against imitation, their work with Hernan Cattaneo has seen a raft of releases on Sudbeat, Renaissance and Henry Saiz's Natura Sonoris and supported by industry heavyweights such as Satoshi Tomiie, Laurent Garnier and Nick Warren. Under his solo guise, Baunder's reputation for classic combinations of rhythm and melody has played its role with less frequency, but no less skill and verve. Baroque, Armada and Segment records have all played host to the Argentinean's talent and Baunder now reprises his 2012 remix of Abdomen Burst's "Ex Machina" with a remix of "Departures". Taking the delightful melodic themes from Erdi Irmak's original, Baunder has wrapped a rippling percussive section around twinkling arpeggios that criss-cross the stereo spectrum under a carpet of deeply pulsating pads and plucked chords. Already supported by Hernan Cattaneo in his "Resident" show, this is a groove-laden gem of consummate skill. Home to the famous Polish shipyards, Gdansk resident, Tuxedo, is no stranger to the world of music in all its forms. Growing up in a family of musicians and inspired by the twin forms of classical and chamber music, his proficiency in violin, piano and guitar thus laid the foundations for a DJ and production career that has flourished since 2005. A penchant for "atmospheric, groovy and...hypnotic vibes" has seen his skills recognised by the finest imprints as the Tuxedo name has found its way on to the catalogues of Passion Fruit, Liquid Grooves and Stellar Fountain. Forming his own Electronic Tree imprint in 2012 has also afforded him a vehicle to express his sound further, in parallel with a Proton Radio show of the same name. Following remixes of Igor Cold and Tvardovsky in 2012, Tuxedo's "Destinations" EP in the summer of 2013 marked a full debut for the Polish producer as a trilogy of tracks shone brightly in the August sun. Turning his attention towards Erdi Irmak, his remix of "Start Believing" plays homage to the original with its light, twinkling melodic motifs that permeate the upper frequency ranges. Wending their way over crisp beats, glassy percussion and dominant kick, they combine with a melange of rich textures to create genuine atmosphere.
