Baroque Records returns this week with a very exciting new signing to the label. Bruxxas is one of the more well known electronic music producers from his home country of Guatemala. Luis Herbruger aka Bruxxas has been pushing his brand of uplifting progressive house for almost seven years now. Luis has appeared on Neuroscience, Neuroscience Deep and various divisions of Istmo over the course of his career. Bruxxas' debut on Baroque is entitled 'Playa Sol Pinet' and it comes with two brand new original productions.

The lead cut on the EP is a prime example of Bruxxas effortless melodic style. A punchy kick and a set of well textured chords get the track underway. As the drums slowly get built up around the framework an epic lead synth delicately fades into the mix which heightens the emotions quite nicely. A glassy swirl of electronics soon follows for an additional rush which leads to the main break. Here the heartfelt chords breathe really well and provide a nice interlude before the beats drop back in. The second half sees the epic lines return and go through a series of lovely modulation which pushes the emotions even higher for a nice climax. A definite winner for all progressive or even deep house DJs out there.

The companion piece 'San Antonio Portmany' is a much funkier and more groove oriented construction at the outset. The unique underbelly of warped bass stabs is sensational and also incredibly rich in character. As the piece quickly builds Bruxxas' trademark wall of shimmering melodies descends over the framework for a suitably epic moment. The break introduces a lush sounding vocal sample which cues the sweeping melodies back in before building to a perfect crescendo. When the stripped groove reappears it should be huge moment on the floor as the bass line really hits home after the drop. The second half of the record presents more epic melodies which are sure to be perfect for those sunrise sets. Two top productions from Bruxxas and a great release from Baroque. Highly Recommended.
