a BAROQUE RECORDS. Formed at the start of the new Millennium, and aims to bring quality underground music to the discerning listener. Keith McDonnell owns baroque records. And runs baroque on a day to day basis, and since its launch in January 2000 things have gone from strength! Keith McDonnell - baroque records " We all know what we like and what we want, but can't always get it. Starting baroque will now enable me to get that ta the very least. With the amount of quality music that is being produced right now and the massive impact of DJ culture over the last few years, we aim to supply quality material for those who want it! " Baroques first release was Odessi Moments of space, Being produced by Parks & Wilson and Leama, it quickly became a firm favorite with the masses and has to date been licensed to over a dozen compilations including. Anthony Pappas Global - Underground, Dave Seamans Renaissance, Taylor & Jimmy Van M Trance Nation America, John 00 Flemmings React CD & the massive Chilled Euphoria alongside various others from around the globe. It received Progressive Single Of The Month accolade in Muzik Magazine aswell as glowing reviews in 7, M8, DJ mag etc. It also charted at number 16 in the Hype Chart & number 18 in the Coolcuts to name a few. To date it has sold over 5000 copies and helped place baroque firmly on the map from the start. Following on for baroques second release was Innate Changes, Produced by Keith McDonnell, this was an ideal follow up for baroque and gave them a now solid platform to build from. Changes also saw licensing success and secured a place on the Home cd mixed by Steve Lawler amongst others. Again this was received well by the dance press and saw maximum points reviews from Muzik, 7 Mag etc etc. As well as entering the same dance charts as before Changes also entered 7 Magazines Buzz Chart at number 17 meaning baroque had now seen support from all major charts. in fact it went on to be included in 7 Magazines Best of the buzz chart CD on the cover of the following issue. Such was the success of the release that Innates Changes was licensed to Platipus Records in August of this year and was re-released by them in November 2000. Louis Strange Spectre followed as baroque 3 and saw the label bring in their first remix Tarrentella Vs Redanka were chosen and what a job they did. A tribal monster that, again, saw licensing success (Slinky the album, Satoshi Tomiie CD, Deep Dishs Yoshiesque 2) along side massive Dj and chart support and sales that were now becoming a norm for a baroque release! Andy Moors Violent City , Neil Himmons Play , Various Guises from Swain & Snell, Tilt Headstrong, Interflows Storyreel & Quivver BozBoz are just a few that have followed since. Including more recent tracks & remixes from the likes of Infusion, Evolution & Junkie XL !! A now firmly established label that has gained a solid reputation as a constant supplier of quality releases with DJ, Chart, Radio, Magazine and compilation support all we have to do is keep it up!!
