DESCRIPTION:
Baloji, the Afro-beat/Rap/Soul Belgian singer born in Congo, returned to tour North America for his final date in Los Angeles w/his band L'Orchestre de la Katuba for the Grand Performances Concert Series @ California Plaza, downtown L.A.

Baloji blends melodious guitar sounds of traditional Congolese music, rumba, Nigerian afro-funk, soukous and what he calls retro-futuristic tradi-modern style with lyrics that weave socio-political stories about life in Kinshasa and Belgium.
