Balkan Connection follows their landmark 300th release by welcoming Omar El Gamal back to the label. Omar is currently based in Los Angeles and this marks his fourth appearance on Balkan Connection which follows successful outings on Sudbeat, Stripped Digital and Particles. His brand new 2 track EP for the label is entitled 'Let There Be Hope' and it includes remixes from Monojoke and Michael A. & Dmitry Molosh.

The lead track 'Let There Be Hope' is another one of Omar's finely tuned deep progressive house gems. It's chugging groove, celestial atmospherics and sparkling electronics create a gorgeous vibe early on. The main break only furthers that with a subtle build of tension followed by a dynamic re-entry of the groove. The second half showcases more ethereal brilliance with the soothing textures and wispy atmospherics delivering a great finale. All in all it goes down as one Omar's finest melodic creations to date.

The lone remix of 'Let There be Hope' is provided by Balkan Connection artist Monojoke who is making his third appearance on the label. The Polish producer has continued his prolific ways this year and his recent work on BC2 and BQ Recordings has been excellent. For his 'Let There Be Hope' interpretation Monojoke has upped the energy with a driving groove and sweeping electronics. The feel good factor on this record is huge; from its mashy sounding breakdown to the floaty, laser-like rhythms which continue to charge forward. A great complement to Omar's deeper original and one of Monojoke's best remixes in quite some time.

The companion piece 'Cairo Scene' finds Omar exploring an even deeper, more late night inspired vibe. Backed by a well carved foundation the records groove is both strong and unique. It's cinematic backdrop and murky atmosphere casts an esoteric vibe over the piece which carries it to the main breakdown. The second half offers more brilliance with a bed of aquatically styled electronics adding to the unique, esoteric vibes. Excellent stuff from Omar.

The lone remix of 'Cairo Scene' is provided by Michael A. and Dmitry Molosh who are both returning to Balkan Connection following a wealth of solo projects on 3rd Avenue, Just Movement, System Recordings and Particles. The Belarus based production duo have crafted an absolute beauty for their 'Cairo Scene' remix and it's also been the most well received feedback wise. Michael and Dmitry have tightened up the groove nicely and added a wispy set of vocal gates along with a quirky lead line which should sound fabulous on the dance floor. Excellent stuff from the Belarus based pair and another standout release for Balkan Connection.
