Aguilar Artist Loft presents Bakthi Kumalo - “From Soweto to Graceland”

Legendary bassist Bakithi Kumalo (Paul Simon, Angelique Kidjo) discusses his early influences, incorporating various styles of South African music into his playing and the famous bass break on Paul Simon’s “You Can Call Me Al”.

For this video, Bakthi is using the Washburn B20 bass that he used on Paul Simon’s iconic Graceland album which was recently outfitted with Aguilar’s AG 4P/J-HC pickups and OBP-3 preamp. He was playing through the Tone Hammer 500 and two SL 112 cabinets.
