Angel The Original CoverGirl is best known for her work as the lead singer of the hit girl group "The Cover Girls," recording some of Freestyle's greatest and most memorable songs. But many are unaware that in early 2000, the OCG in fact, recorded also as a solo artist, releasing an album outside the norm of her Freestyle persona.
When legendary producer, Jellybean Benitez, signed Angel to his Hola Records family, he pieced together a team that he knew would complement her extraordinary vocal talent.
With producers such as Tony Moran, Andy Panda Tripoli, The Berman Brother's, Johnny Vicious and Soul Solution, Jellybean's vision was bound to garner Dance Music a whole new life.
But soon after the album's release, the label was forced to shut its doors, and the promotional campaign was abandoned.
Though it was a severe blow to all involved, it was a total injustice to the fans, and had it not been for today's Social Media, these gems might've been lost forever, and this other side of The OCG would have never been heard!
