French producer and DJ, Déni Shain started writing and digging music during a 15 year musical adventure through the West coast of Africa, Mexico, Spain, Portugal and France. When he was based in Europe, he played as a resident in a few good clubs including : Music-box, Lux, Clube Ferroviario, Hinterhof. His unique hybrid sound joins the dots between Afro-beats, Disco-Funk, groovy breakbeat & Tropical influences. His first EP, released in 2007, featured both French jazz musicians and African vocalists, was produced by Cryptophyte records and distributed on Jarring Effect. His Second EP (released in 2014) features different international artists like: Jerry The Cat (Détroit), Jim Dunloop (Berlin), Tomi Young (Nigeria), Nathalie Oliveri (Chicago) and more. When he moved to Portugal, Déni Shain met and worked with some good names. He's remixed Pal Joey (Boogie Down Production/BBE Records/ Loop-D-Loop), Mr Bird (BBE Music/Vital Force/Heavy Duty Booty), Michael Berczelly (Thirteen moons Recording), Analog Africa (Frankfurt). For the last two years, Déni paused his travels in Mexico, where he opened his own club in Cuernavaca called "La Baraque". There, he is producing different international artists : DJs, musicians, painters, performers. Also at the same time, he started to work for the legendary label Analog Africa. This year they (Samy Benredjeb and Déni Shain) went on tour in Brazil. They played in Recife on Rec Beat festival, Womex and in Sao paulo at Trackers club. The Déni Shain DJ set is a mix between all of the music he has found during his travels in the world with only one objective in mind, to get each crowd to dance.
