"The Giant and the Locust" is a beautiful defilement of contemporary musical categorization. It screams and howls in an effort to shine even a single ray of light onto the mystery of God and pain. To feel at home in this seeming paradox, one must understand with the heart and mind that Truth is hidden in the apparent foolishness of apparently irreconcilable perceptions. One must be hungry enough for God to endure temporary suffering, and yet continue to love wholeheartedly, ruthlessly even, to discover that God is there all along, and suffering is not a contraindication of His presence.
