SuperJam 2013: "When Something Is Wrong With My Baby" John Oates and Brittany Howard Duet | Ep. 5 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 10, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
When John Oates welcomed Brittany Howard, the powerhouse lead vocalist of the Alabama Shakes to the stage, the first major surprise of the "Rock & Soul Superjam" was met with a deafening roar of excitement. At age 24 Brittany was not only the youngest member of the Superjam band but also returning Bonnaroo royalty following her triumphant performance the previous year with the Shakes on the same stage. That gig also proved to be a major coming out party for her and her bandmates. As episode 5 shows she felt right at home instantly, dueting with Oates on an instant classic take on Sam & Dave's "When Something Is Wrong With My Baby". Also in this episode we also get a first glimpse at Larry Graham's introduction into the Superjam rehearsal which brought a new set of challenges.
