DESCRIPTION:
The real apocalyptic stuff in the book of Revelation starts when John has a vision of God on his throne in heaven, surrounded by 4 strange angels, 24 elders (representing the books of the bible) and a multitude of people who have been redeemed and undergone the refining fires of atonement.

They are singing joyfully about the glory of God when the mood suddenly changes. A scroll bound up with seven seals (the title deeds to the earth and everything in it) appears. No one is worthy to take ownership and open it. Everyone in heaven weeps uncontrollably.

Then the Lamb of God who is worthy to open the scroll starts removing the seals and revealing the nature of the transactions that led it to pass into the hands of Lucifer, the Father fo Lies.

It tells the familiar story of human civilization. WAR. FAMINE. DESEASE. MARTYRDOM of people who threaten the powers that be.

Finally the sixth seal is opened. That's when the apocalyptic fireworks begin...
