In 2013 Xosé Liz, who plays in the video, called to tell me that in his folk music gigs, with his band "Riobó", they needed more low frequencies because the instruments they play were: violin, bouzouki, flutes, acoustic guitar and bagpipes.
We start from an idea and from there we started the BSP (String Bass Pickup)
development.
In traditional folk music its unusual to have a bass player, witch is the problem.
The BSP has been tested by "Riobó" in many stages since they recorded their last album and Xosé Liz recorded with the BSP.
The BSP was created for "Riobó", we liked the idea because it was a fun challenge. We do not intend to produce it for the market, we will only do if there is a minimal amount of musicians interested in it.
