Roots Rockers David Rodigan Smiley Culture reggae Capital Radio wikidub - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 23, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
Here's a rough cassette tape of David Rodigan's "Roots Rockers" reggae show on Capital Radio in London. Here he interviews Smiley Culture (RIP) with tracks from his debut album, so this tape dates from 1984 or 85. Then there are tracks from various artists, roots, digi, quite a bit of lovers tunes, and then back to Smiley Culture who says some quite enlightened words to finish off.

It was recorded on a cheap tape so the sound isn't brilliant, but it is a good historic record of Smiley in his heyday. There are some strange and abrupt cuts, but that's just how it is - sorry! And Rodigan seems to be having trouble with the speed controls a couple of times!

Thanks to everyone who has subscribed recently - it's truly appreciated :)

I know she wants to give them to Smiley Culture * :)
