RODIGAN ROOTS ROCKERS SHOW - November 1981 - reggae roots dub - wikidub - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 10, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Here is a vintage cassette tape recording from November 1981 of David Rodigan's "Roots Rockers" show, broadcast on Capital Radio in London.

It features many of the reggae stars who were popular at the time showcasing their latest releases, plus some new, up-and-coming artists. Here follows a list of many of the singers Rodigan played that evening:

TREVOR HARTLEY
GREGORY ISAACS
JAH WALTON
RANKING JOE
EARLY B
DELROY WILSON
DENNIS BROWN
SUGAR MINOTT
WINSTON REEDY
CARROLL THOMPSON
EEK-A-MOUSE
SASSAFRAS
PAPA KING KONG
JOE WHITE
GLEN BROWN
MARIE PIERRE
BUNNY WAILER
FREDDIE McGREGOR
JUNIOR DELGADO
YELLOWMAN
PETER BROGGS
SAMMY DREAD
LINVAL THOMPSON

Please note, as this is an old tape the sound is not perfect (especially just at the start) when compared to the purity of digital sounds, and also there is some background radio interference, but it is fairly minimal. Hopefully it will not spoil with your enjoyment of the session too much.

Also, I have edited out the Two In One track because it was skipping and jumping a lot (faulty record) and Carroll Thompson's name is spelled incorrectly. Unfortunately I had done the visuals before I had noticed.
