Toto To Gig With Jeff and Mike Porcaro Again Through Unearthed Tunes
This is like found money, it's not winning the lottery but it's pretty damn close for many Toto fans. You think you've heard everything only to find out there's more in their tickle-trunk of tunes.

Guitarist Steve Lukather better known as Luke to the real fans was at Namm (National Association of Music Merchants) Anaheim, CA this weekend talking to “Australian Musician” on YouTube and he gave us a little update on Toto saying, “We're working on the 40th Anniversary with two projects, some new music and we've also unearthed five old tracks from 1981 to 1987 with Jeff (Porcaro) and Mike (Porcaro) and we have re-written and edited and we're making new music with our brothers who have gone on. It's really been a special time for us.” He also adds that Toto will be on the road for the next three years.

When asked what was on his bucket list Luke said, “There's always new music, just to still be doing it. I still get up and play everyday. I'm not in the competition mode anymore. I'm going to be 60 this year. The days of getting out of bed and trying to be the biggest swinging dick are over. I've proved myself to a certain degree, there's a million guys better. I just do what I do.”

Lukather was at the show unveiling his new Luke III Music Man guitars.

As we reported earlier Sony is set to remastered the Toto catalog, the band is recording new material and will tour worldwide for the next few years.

Oh, and Luke ran into this guy at the show - Bobby Kimball. Thanks to John Zaika for the great pick of Steve and Bobby Kimball. I would have liked to be been a fly on the wall during that conversation. Bobby hasn't been in Toto since 2008.
