Biography

Chubby faced self

confessed “Chocolate Boy” ____________ isn’t

your average Street savvy South Londoner. This 22 year old in many respects

leads super hero like double life. By day he is ___________ label owner and entrepreneur,

by night he transformers to the highly energetic, thought provoking lyricist Mic

Assassin Asar .

This Artist has turned

his boy hood music dreams and passions in to an exciting career path stating from

him “This is my life…. not a hobby”!

Flash back to 1984 the

year of Mic’s Birth, and his introduction to life and music. Born and raised in South London’s Lewisham Borough on a council estate

where Mic would perfect his talent for words and expand his insight on life. On

this Estate serving as Mic’s window to the world is where he would write his

first lyrics at age 9, make his first demo tapes and form his crew Elite-Team.

Forward now to 2006, this

same boy has now grown and developed to a man and an accomplished Emcee with a catalogue

of highly rated releases and accolades under his belt. As well as solo and crew

releases Elite – Team whose active members include (Mic

Assassin, Rigga Romez and DJ Caution) have appeared on numerous mix CD’s

and Album releases. This includes their noteworthy debut “The Phone Home Ep” in 2004 which led to the crew

being described as “The next generation of Home Grown

Hip Hop” From highly regarded music journalist Ryan Proctor at Blues and

Soul.

The trials and

tribulations of the industry led to Mic setting up his first company and

independent Music Venture “Elite Team Ent” in 2003 at the

age of 18. This new venture being run by Mic and his friends while still

in college study for A – levels helped generate a buzz and local awareness in

their South London Residence.

This Buzz and

Consistent hunger led Mic to being featured on various Hip Hop releases from

premier UK producers such as Evil Ed on “The Enthusiast

Album” and on Blufoot’s “The Ablution Album”

both in 2005.

The momentum of his

Buzz has also been able to capture attention both in the UK and US following

his now infamous Emcee “Street battles”. These

Battles broadcast on the Internet via Jump off TV

while at the same time airing periodically on UK digital music station Channel U and US on demand channel H2O.

This was after Mic

participated in a 3 day 10 city UK Battle tour in

which he deservedly won the right to represent his team and the UK by being flown to New York. This feat singled Mic out amongst

his UK

peers giving him the opportunity to battle US rappers in their own streets

which earned him much respect winning the majority of his battles and a fierce

reputation.

All these battles

being broadcast helped to infuse his past efforts, performances and releases in

to a state of anticipation for his followers on both sides of the globe. This

anticipation and eagerness will be met with the release of his Second Solo

project and 5TH Elite – Team ENT label release “The Elevation Theory” Scheduled for an Early 2007 release. This project will combine Mic’s

infectious wordplay gliding over soulful sample infused beats and live musical

instrumentations.

Having been riding

high on the hype built for Themselves

has enabled Elite Team Ent to

independently record and release Mic’s First Solo CD “How

to Murk a Mixtape” in 2006. This has easily sold above 4,000 copies via

the teams entrepreneurial methods of selling on the Streets, after crew performances

and Online to a wider market.

This helped Mic and

Elite Team to secure numerous noteworthy appearances on pirate and internet

stations such as Itch fm, Déjà vu, Pyro radio and

breaks fm. To mainstream radio shows such as Ace

and Invisible (Radio 1xtra), Shorty Blitz and Big Ted (Kiss 100 fm), Dan

Greenpeace (Capital /Xfm) and Ras Kwame (Radio 1xtra).

This attention has not

gone unnoticed, Mic’s talents has extended and seen him hosting a part time Saturday night show on BBC’s Asian Network.

This 2 hour show lets Mic express his usual humorous and energetic self while

him and his DJ Bruce Wayne glide over a captivating play list of in your face

grime & underground Hip Hop.

In successful attempts

to Spread themselves to a wider market has seen Mic and his crew members rapping and appearing

on MTV show “Barrio 19” which was broadcast in

various territories such as Europe , The Americas (South and North) and Asia in

Early 2006 . Various other TV

appearances like ITV’s “Bleach my skin white”

and British council backed Documentary “The Bed Room Mc

Competition”. This battle competition

which Mic won had him flown out to promote the documentary and perform at the Winterthur international short film festival in Switzerland 2004.

The anticipation and

hype has also culminated in various internet features and interviews on premier

US Hip Hop sites like Rapmusic.com, and Sohh.com, with

leading UK

sites like Ukhh.com and Rapnews.co.uk also

heavily supporting the teams grind and efforts. Mic Assassin even though achieving

much mainstream accolades still stays true to his underground roots and can be

found hosting various events such as South London’s Infamous “Speakers corner” and newly formed East

London event “Bampot” on a monthly

basis.
