Originating from their early stages in Manchester England’s alternative hip-hop faction on the road to achieving world-wide acclamation as an international multi-media powerhouse in both music and television; Broke N’English have been delivering compelling vocals while producing compilations with several of the most highly regarded names in the music industry including, Jeru the Damaja, Souls of Mischief, Mobb Deep, Rahzel and Q-bert. Their innovative production techniques integrating jazz, electronic music, hip-hop, R&B and funk have elevated Broke N’ English as one of the most unsurpassed artists in Europe. Professionally known as “DRS” and “Strategy” they have been deservedly gaining reverence and prominence for having one of the most incomparable live performance in Great Britain, as they have served as opening acts for industry heavyweights such as Beyoncé, Akon, Will Smith, Xzibit and Jurassic 5 while being nominated by BBC as one of the most exceptional shows at the internationally renowned, Glastonbury Festival. Their critically acclaimed album, “Terms&Conditions” was voted best mixtape of 2006 by British radio station, 1XTRA.



Broke N’English have established an arsenal that spans beyond music as they have been featured as hosts for Manchester United TV (MUTV) where they have interviewed, The Roots amongst other A-list artists. They have also been featured in international endorsement campaigns for a bevy of major British television stations including a spotlight debut on a short film documentary for Sony Playstation. Broke N’English continues to accelerate with their radio career by running “one of the longest aired” hip-hop shows featured on Manchester’s infamous 106 FM station earning them a place as favored key personalities on British radio.



Johnni Wheeler p/k/a “Strategy” has also demonstrated a strong aptitude for acting as he has starred on several popular television dramas on Britain’s Channel 4, which has acknowledged praise from fans, networks and critics alike. Del Pottinger p/k/a "DRS" is also a celebrated graphic designer and talented urban graffiti artist who has done a wide range of commissioned projects from album coverwork to gallery displays using his flair for hip-hop expressionism. Recently they have launched an urban clothing line, “Netto-fabulous” which has steadily been gaining the attention of designers and fashion-industry trendsetters throughout Europe and Asia.



Broke N’ English have not forgotten their roots in Manchester and play an avid role in developing hip-hop workshops in music production for at-risk youth in disadvantaged areas.
