marchtwelve

marchtwelve. a date in someones diary, the fervour that guides the lives of five people. a band that has a date for a name, but whose music is never dated. call it what you will, but the heartfelt delivery of melodic indie rock songs spell out the truth on human relationships. the good and bad, the love and hate. the ups and downs of life painted on a soundscape that belies the bands youthfulness. life as marchtwelve began on that date in 1999, and their various live shows prove to show that their music has struck the right chord with listeners. an infectious and positive energy pervades the songs, providing the balance to the passionate themes.



after our last show on march6th2004, we went our seperate ways only to find ourselves back two and a half years later picking up where we left off.



the band has undergone many changes over the years, with dewi-marie and joseph the only ones from the original line up. hazmee joined the band in 2002 and held the low ends of the songs. recent addition to the band are helmi on drums and sy fong on synth. oct 2007 saw the addition of Yuri on bass, replacing mr hazmee who has been promoted as the band photographer.

dec 2009 saw the departure of sy fong, and the inclusion of beb steve vai on second guitars

- members excluding the vocalist formerly played in metal/hardcore bands (bricolage, drugplantpatient, dearxarson, skyineuphoria, senilysis).

- everyone used to be skinny

- we have opened or/and played alongside foreign bands like whence he came(hk), uncle joe(hk), screamfeeder(aus), fc5(jap), raikoris(nepal), anberlin(us), copeland(us) and angels are achitect (aus)

- we are shy.
