Paris in the Making

Formed in early 2004, Paris In The Making started out as a five piece rock outfit formerly known as Dyna Turmoil. Heavily influenced by the European/Japanese screamo scene infused with elements of post-rock citing the likes of heavyweights Envy and Mogwai, as prime examples. With moments of surreal intensity, and waves of crashing, emotionally-charged energy, their shows have never ceased to amaze.



31st December 2006, on the eve of a new year, marked their last show at the old Gas Haus Bar before embarking on an indefinite hiatus, resulting in the members to shift their focus onto their other respective bands.



A reformation in 2008 saw them as a whole again with new materials and a new line-up following the departure and replacement of their initial drummer during the period of uncertainty.



Paris In The Making finally broke their spell of silence on the 7th of February 2009, as they performed to a sellout crowd alongside a barrage of big acts: Parkway Drive (Australia), Cassandra (Malaysia), Dashown (Malaysia) and local metal-hardcore heroes, Hamartia. Jointly organised by Prettig Productions and Cease Fire Records, and held at the Singapore Arts Museum, their heartfelt and sincere comeback performance relieved the long itch of their old fans, won the hearts of new fans while at the same time, proving a point to everyone else that they are now here to stay. For good.



The band is currently in the midst of preparation to hit the studios for their upcoming debut album to be released on a tentative date.
